Paul Levinsohn

Mr. Levinsohn is an attorney who specializes in real estate and private equity transactions. He has acted as counsel for numerous real estate projects throughout the New York metropolitan area. During the past ten years, Mr. Levinsohnl acquired and sold more than 200 commercial retail properties to public REITs and individuals. In addition, Mr. Levinsohn has expertise in negotiating and obtaining financing for a myriad of real estate investments.

Mr. Levinsohn has also worked on a variety of private equity transactions. He, along with other investors, obtained and privatized one of the largest store and gas station chains in the northeast in 2004. The company, which was listed on the American Stock Exchange, operates 290 stores in a tri-state area. Mr. Levinsohn sold his interest in the company in early 2008.

Mr. Levinsohn, along with other investors, also bought the assets to a New England based nutrition supplement business that sells its products throughout the country to retailers like Wal-Mart, Walgreens, CVS and Vitamin Shoppe.

In addition to his business ventures, Mr. Levinsohn has been active in public service. He was appointed Chief Counsel to the Governor of New Jersey in 2002 where he managed a staff of twenty-one attorneys, and coordinated all legal operations for the Governor's Office. Between 1995 and 1997, Mr. Levinsohn clerked for Judge Anne E. Thompson, U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.

Mr. Levinsohn also spent time before entering law school as a charter corps member of Teach for America, a nationwide teacher corps program that supplies teachers to rural and inner city schools. During this time, Mr. Levinsohn taught high-school American History in Warren County, North Carolina.

Mr. Levinsohn graduated from Duke University where he earned his undergraduate degree, J.D. and M.A. (political science). During law school, Mr. Levinsohn was a member of the Duke Law Journal, and was appointed to the Duke University Board of Trustees for a three-year term.
